Dr. Gayle Delaney is the Founding President of the International Association for the Study of Dreams and co-director with Loma Flowers MD, of the Delaney & Flowers Dream Center in San Francisco. Dr. Delaney is a pioneer in wresting dream studies from the clutches of superstitious and dogmatic confines and brings them to the attention of the educated public and business communities.
She created the Dream Interview Method of interpretation, and has authored seven books and several audio and video programs on the modern, practical uses of dreams for problem solving. Her best selling book, Living Your Dreams, sparked modern interest in dream incubation in 1980 and showed readers how to target their dreams to help them solve specific problems and creative blocks. By telephone around the world, and in her San Francisco and Marin offices, Dr. Delaney trains professionals and amateurs offering classes for individuals, couples, and groups.

Dr. Delaney graduated with highest honors from Princeton University and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Union Graduate School. She has studied at L'Ecole Des Science Politiques in Paris and at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. For the last twelve years she has spent two months almost every summer in Rome, studying Italian and Roman life.
She has been on hundreds of television shows in the U.S. including "Good Morning America," "The NBC Nightly News," "The View," "The Montel Williams Show," "The Today Show," and has been a guest on "The Oprah Show" five times. She has hosted a 3-hour,daily, prime-time AM Radio show, Dream Talk in the Seattle area, and has presented her work on French, Italian, Canadian, and German radio and television.
Dr. Delaney lectures worldwide (in English, Italian, and French) on the use of dreams for creative problem solving as well as on the importance of learning to sleep well. Organizations she has spoken to include: Johns Hopkins University, American Bankers Association, and Stanford School of Business.
